What is overseeding?

Overseeding is the process of spreading grass seed over an existing area without completely removing the old grass. This technique fills in thin or bare areas, improves overall lawn density, and renews its color and texture.

How is the process carried out?

1 - Land evaluation

• Our team inspects the current condition of the lawn, identifying problem areas, soil type, drainage, and compaction level.
• The appropriate type of seed is selected based on the existing grass variety, sun exposure, and use of the space.

2 - Lawn preparation

• A low cut is performed to expose the lawn base.
• The area is cleared of debris, leaves, and weeds to allow good contact between the seeds and the soil.

2 - Soil aeration

• We use specialized tools to perforate the soil, allowing better penetration of water, nutrients, and seeds.
• This step improves root system oxygenation and facilitates the establishment of new seeds.

3 - Seed application

• The seeds are evenly distributed across the lawn, with emphasis on the most worn areas.
• Sometimes a light layer of mulch or compost is added to protect the seeds and retain moisture.

4 - Watering and initial maintenance

• After seeding, a frequent but light watering program is established to keep the soil moist without waterlogging.
• Growth is monitored during the first few weeks, adjusting watering based on weather conditions.
